Personality: Jubilee is a ball of energy who love what every teenaged girl loves; Shopping, and Boys. But, oh, is she a prankster and she usual causes more trouble with a punishment her mentors come up for her then she did with the actual prank-- which she usually blames on Bobby. Jubilee is very energetic and talkative, although she can seem care-free and well, rather ditsy, she is very smart, but she just doesn't like to show it. She is also very stubborn and a determined young girl.
Likes: Staying up late and sleeping in, shopping, causing trouble, talking, roller-blading, her yellow rain coat, gum and junk food.
Dislikes: Getting up early, homework, and heathy food.
Non-Power strengths:
Jubilee is an exhalant gymnast which she often uses to her advantage.
Non-Power weaknesses:
None that I know off.
Detailed Description of Powers:
Jubilee has the ability to generate what she calls her fireworks: energy globules that vary in degrees of power and intensity. The globules obey her mental control, traveling where she directs them, arranging themselves in balls, streamers, and other shapes, and exploding when she wishes. These combinations may result in anything from a multitude of colorful sparkles capable of temporarily blinding a person to a fairly powerful detonation, capable of smashing tree trunks or metal objects. She can absorb these fireworks back into her own body without harm to herself.
History/Bio:
Being the daughter of Chinese immigrants, she was named Jubilation for the joy her people had felt upon coming to America. Due to the father’s job as a bank director, the family had a large income and they ended up living in Beverly Hills, with young Jubilation entering prep school, where her talent for gymnastics was discovered. However, Jubilation used her agility for not so noble things, with her and her best friend spending most of their time at the mall de jour, making petty robberies, making their escape on their rollerblades. It wasn’t for the money, just for the sake of doing it, or, as Jubilee put it, she wasn’t proud of doing it, just of how they did it. One day, though, Jubilee was trapped in a dead-end alley by a pair of rent-a-cops. Fearing juvenile detention, not to mention her parents‘ reaction, she panicked and her pyrotechnic powers manifested, hitting full blast to destroy the entire alley. Her first instinct was to run to the beach, where she tried to keep her hands wet so that it would never happen again.
Jubilee told her parents about her strange abilities, but it didn’t seem to be a problem, as she soon learned how to control it to a limited degree, keeping her powers from activating without her realizing it. Not much later, though, the Lees were killed in what seemed to be a car accident on Mulholland Drive. At the time, Jubilee had been once more at the shopping mall with her friends. Arriving back home, Jubilation found the police waiting for her to inform her of the accident and she was handed over to another couple named Lee from the neighborhood. Jubilee didn’t like it there and ran away as soon as possible, returning to the mall, which now seemed to be her only home.
Soon, Jubilee was approached by Charles Xavier, who offered her a home instead of living her life in a mall. There, at the Institute, Jubilee became known as the Mall Rat, spending most of her waking hours at the mall even if she didn't have any money to spend there. If she isn’t at the mall, she’s usually breaking one rule or another at the Institute.
With the days that followed Alkali Lake and Jean’s death, Jubilee has been keeping her mischievousness down a bit. She, her self, was a bit shook up too, after all Stryker did kidnap her two too. And if it weren’t for Kurt and Storm, She and a whole bunch of other kids would still be down there.
Played by: Kea Wong
Sample Post: (On the Jet after X2)
Jubilee sat on the bench in the back of the jet with a light brown cotton blanket draped around her shoulders. Lively brown eyes have dulled in the past few hours and now stared into blank space in front of her. Earlier, before Storm started to fly the blackbird back to their ruined home, she saw her teacher, Scott Summers, and that furry Canadian man hug and weep over the red haired telekinetic telepath.
Jean was dead. And so where a whole bunch of other people that Xavier might have killed while he was connected to that fake Cerebro. It’s going to take a long time to get everything back to normal, but then again, an Institute full of mutants never was normal to begin with.
The Asian girl blinked her dead eyes slowly and glanced from one grieving person to the next.
